Summit Property Group’s COR certified safety program was established in 2012 and maintains an extensive document retention program. To maintain the companies COR status, we undergo a yearly internal maintenance audit and an external, third-party audit every third year.
Safety is no accident, and Summit understands the importance of continually reinforcing awareness of the importance of safety in all that we do, day in and day out. In addition to morning toolbox meetings and on-site orientations, Summit’s leadership group holds regular safety meetings to review any incidents, accidents, near misses, and current topics of discussion in the interests of mitigating risks and ensuring that our valued employees make it home safely and the end of every shift.

The term ‘Social Procurement’ refers to leveraging money that will already be spent on contracts by governments, private companies or nonprofits to also further a social good. This often involves buying contracts for goods and services from social enterprises with the intention of making a positive social impact (such as job creation for a historically disadvantaged community). Definition from David LePage of BuySocial Canada.
To support our local communities, we have committed to invest 25% of our purchases with SME businesses with focus on the inclusion of gender balanced teams at all levels of our organization.
